LEARN TO IMAGINE: A Leader’s Journey to Discover the Powerful Secret to Effective Professional Learning   is a story-based business fable that challenges traditional workplace learning by proposing a bold idea: imagination is the missing key.

Told through the eyes of fictional CHRO Nicki Peeps, the book follows her journey at
CardioTech, a medical technology company with a broken and uninspiring learning program. Faced with low engagement, poor completion rates, and a workplace complaint that threatens the company’s reputation, Nicki must rethink everything she knows about professional development.

As she digs deeper, she encounters real-world experts, confronts resistance from her team, and discovers a transformative new approach that sparks imagination to ignite creativity and critical thinking, and results in improved learning effectiveness throughout the organization.

Blending fiction with fact, and fictional characters with real world experts, Learn to Imagine is both a compelling narrative and a practical guide for HR executives, L&D professionals, and business leaders seeking to reinvent learning in their organizations.

It makes the case that imagination isn’t child’s play - it’s a strategic advantage.”

As someone who's taken countless professional development courses delivered in the conventional talk-at-you style, Learn to Imagine was a refreshing and inspiring read. Told through the relatable story of a CHRO tackling a stale corporate learning program, the book offers a compelling case for rethinking how we approach learning at work. The focus on imagination, creativity, and meaningful engagement highlights what traditional programs are missing and what, in my opinion, could make them more enjoyable and genuinely useful. A smart, thoughtful read for anyone in the world of workplace learning and development.

I've been both a learner and developer as an HR Advisor so I really enjoyed the "story" and characters of CardioTech and could relate to their problems from both sides. Love that there were some twists and drama in the story and how experts (real) chimed in to bring the neuroscience into the conversation. An easy and refreshing read that's given me a new perspective on learning.

Learning, but make it a story! I've struggled to stick to the traditional educational resources; I find I'm not invested and I lose interest. Not the case with Learning to Imagine, and it's story-style narrative about the importance of including imagination when we're learning. The story kept me more engaged, and I'd be definitely interested in learning more topics via stories! I wish more "learning books" were like this.

Among an ocean of business themed literature, this one sticks out like a sore thumb - in the best way possible. This truly inspiring story is bringing back imagination into the corporate realm. Read it in one go from start to finish and already thinking about putting sime of those ideas to the test in my company!

Cullingworth's style expertly demonstrates how using stories engages both imagination and interest when relaying information for education purposes. The characters in his story really came to life!

Reading this corporate story reminded me of Patrick Lencioni's "The Five Dysfunctions of a Team". The story was well written and made for an enjoyable reading experience. A corporate fable that takes you inside a modern enterprise complete with scandal, backstabbing, failure, success and emotional drama. The characters were complex and believable. They reminded me of people I have worked with over the years. Learn how to make learning fun and effective, a delightful ride with a strong message.
